DAVID Obuya hit a fluent 93 as Kenya secured a commanding eight-wicket victory in the Division One World Cricket league final in Nairobi yesterday.

Obuya’s 117-ball knock had three boundaries and three sixes that set a firm foundation.

Veterans Ravindu Shah (24*) and Steve Tikolo (12*) then steered the side home, overhauling Scotland’s target with 11 overs to spare.

Kenya and Scotland will play at the inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa in September. The two finalists also won sh454m each from the international cricket governing body.

Uganda beat Kenya in a pre-tournament match.
