IF you thought that all the legal trouble Naava Nabagesera has been through lately has affected her influence, the former Presidential aide on Legal Affairs wielded, think again! Naava is now protected by bodyguards. That is right. Two kanyamas, (bouncers) with unkempt hair carry her handbag.

Apparently, these guys are supposed to protect her from folks who might seek retribution for the money she owes them. Naava is accused of obtaining over sh100m by false pretence from 113 people.
Scouts say, these no nonsense mean-looking machines hardly smile and protect her like she was the president, especially in court where they keep a close watch out for suspicious behaviour. Last week, Naava’s phone rang intermittently in court. She passed on the phone to one of the men everytime, disrupting court proceedings at the Buganda Road Court.
