Dream leads man to bride

UK-He met and married a 22-year-old woman after, by his own account, dreaming of her phone number and then sending her a text message the next day. David Brown, 24, says he woke up one morning after a night out with friends with a telephone number constantly running through his head. He sent a message saying: “Did I meet you last night?” Random recipient Michelle Kitson was confused and wary at first, but decided to reply and the two began exchanging messages. Eventually, they met and fell in love. A year later, they got married.

Man sues over testicle

US-A veterans’ hospital in Los Angeles is under fire after removing an Air Force Veteran’s healthy testicle instead of a potentially cancerous one. Benjamin Houghton, 47, filed a federal claim against the West Los Angeles VA Medical Centre. He was to have had his left testicle removed because there was a chance it could harbour cancer cells. But medical records and the legal claim say doctors removed the healthy right testicle. He is claiming $200,000 (sh350m) for future care and unspecified damages. He still has not had the other testicle removed. The hospital said it has apologised and changed practices as a result.

Teen hires pal to kill father

US-Police have arrested a 16-year-old who paid another teen $5 (sh8,780) to kill his father. Cops are still looking for the youth allegedly hired for the hit. The teenager said he wanted his dad killed because he was tired of having to live by his rules. The boy was arrested on one count of solicitation for murder and remains in a juvenile detention centre.
