MBALE-Police chief Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura on Friday met his Kenyan counterpart, Maj. Gen. Hussein Ali, in Nairobi to discuss the increasing insecurity on the Uganda – Kenya border. They agreed to eliminate criminals terrorising residents around Mt. Elgon. Kayihura's visit came a day after reports indicated that over 5,000 Kenyans, who have fled the country following land clashes around Mt. Elgon, were living in deplorable conditions in Manafwa and Mbale districts.


NAADS gives out sh381m

KABERAMAIDO-The district has received sh381m under the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS). The Coordinator, Michael Opoi, said the money would be used to mobilise farmers groups, train and support agricultural businesses. He revealed that Bululu, Kaberamaido, Kalaki and Ochero sub-counties would benefit this year.
