FOR having few songs at least those that are popular, Ngoni’s delay to start their unplugged session was understood. And that is why Jeckaki band took their time warming us up with several of their own craft before Ngoni’s Aydee and Pato sprang up at 9.30pm and were done by 10.30pm.

Revellers at the Silk Lounge Club Beer-sponsored unplugged sessions grace unplugged sessions usually an hour or two away from the official time.

At 9.00pm, with no “breathing space” some were cursing why the sessions were being held in such a small place. The audience was treated to the duo’s sweet Bigula, Diggi, Nasiima Gwe, Mimi Na Wewe, Nakupenda and Black,Yellow, Red.

Prisca (ex-Dream Girls) and Benon (Vamposs’ colleague) did the back-up. The playful duo took revellers back to memory lane when they used Shai’s Baby I’m Yours acapella as an intro for their infectious Bigula (shake it). They replaced some English words with Luganda, a move some fans loved.

Ngoni rocked hard enough to set the floor for a dancing session albeit to plugged disco music. The show was well, worth the wait.
