The Mayombo I remember

SIR — Back in Ntare School in 1983, many of us were obsessed with going to Makerere University. My friend, Noble Mayombo, was as keen as all of us about this ambition but I think he was more focused as he was known to be when targeting a goal.
SIR — Back in Ntare School in 1983, many of us were obsessed with going to Makerere University. My friend, Noble Mayombo, was as keen as all of us about this ambition but I think he was more focused as he was known to be when targeting a goal.
He used to confidently say that even if it meant Makerere selecting just one student from Ntare School to study Law, then that one student would be him.
This shows the confidence he was gifted with. He inspired many of us to work hard and achieve a lot.
We will miss him. May his soul rest in peace.
