Save us from these ‘killers’

SIR — I am saddened by medical practitioners who don’t care about the people in their care, especially in government-owned hospitals.

There is a doctor in Hoima Hospital who doesn’t care about the patients.
Recently, a woman went to the hospital for pregnancy check.

She was immediately admitted and told that she would give birth that Friday.
When the day reached, her husband reminded the doctor who rudely said she didn’t have time.

The whole weekend, they received no assistance. On Monday, the woman complained that she felt no foetal movement and she was taken for a scan.

They found that the child had died but they still did not operate on her until Tuesday evening.

We ask the Ministry of Health to help because many women and children have lost their lives in such circumstances.
