UGANDANS should to be tolerant if peace is to be achieved, the second secretary for economic and cultural affairs at the Netherlands embassy has noted .

“Commitment to peace and tolerance is needed at all levels. The civil society has an important role in creating this awareness,” Benjamin Anker, said last Friday at the launch of a documentary, “Peace for All” at Hotel Equatoria, Kampala.

The documentary was produced by Always Be Tolerant (ABETO), a non-governmental organisation, that advocates for peace.

Moses Musana, the ABETO chief, said the video recording highlights the group’s achievements for the last three years and suggests means of achieving tolerance in society.

“Peace for all is an effort we should all support. We cannot have development without peace and we cannot have peace without tolerance for each other,” Musana said.

“Everybody should work for peace and contribute whatever little they can. The struggle is not only for ABETO.” He said the documentary would be distributed to schools. Nelly Ruiz Aranibar, the Spanish honorary consul, attended.
