SEMBABULE Woman MP Anifa Kawooya Bangirana finds herself yet again in a spot of bother. The legislator, who is currently appealing against a High Court ruling, which declared her seat vacant for lack of academic qualifications, has been summoned again by court to answer charges of forgery, making documents without authority and uttering false academic papers.

Buganda Road Court Magistrate Samuel Masaba issued criminal summons to her early this week. This time it is Joy Kabatsi, the wife of the former Solicitor General, Peter Kabatsi, who is dragging Kawooya to court saying she lacks Ordinary and Advanced Level certificates.

According to Joy, Kawooya falsely claims to have attained O’ and A’ level certificates from Kigezi High School in 1973. Joy also challenges the a diploma Kawooya allegedly claims to have got from the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce.
