LAST Thursday at about 2.30am, at Garden City’s Simba Casino, Pepsi-Cola boss, Amos Nzeyi staked $20,000 (sh33m) if businessman Godfrey Kirumira would walk down the aisle with his ‘first wife’.

The two buddies had been having a tete a tete over wine when a snoop, who was hovering about, overheard Kirumira introduce the lady in his company as “Maama w’eka” (the lady in the home) to Nzeyi.

Looking a little troubled, Nzeyi wondered aloud, when Kirumira would ever get serious and officially marry her.

Laughing, Kirumira requested for facilitation. Nzeyi responded with an offer of sh2m. Kirumira said that was way too little, which prompted Nzeyi to raise the stakes to $20,000 if indeed Kirumira was serious. All the while, Kirumira’s “wife” remained quite. Hmm.
