A tensed mood gripped the housemates throughout Sunday ahead of yesterday’s nominations for possible eviction. You could tell that much as they were putting up an act, their mental faculties were busy pondering the outcome of the nominations.
A tensed mood gripped the housemates throughout Sunday ahead of yesterday’s nominations for possible eviction. You could tell that much as they were putting up an act, their mental faculties were busy pondering the outcome of the nominations.
Big Brother sensed that they would need a relaxing weekend and did not give them any hard tasks. In fact, all they did was list a variety of effects they needed shopped for them as a reward for their Thursday night theatrical performance.
Deciding the common needs was simple. But when it came to personal effects, the list dragged. Some took the freedom to rattle off the world’s top-of-the-range alcohols. But others thought the choices were unrealistic. It took Big Brother’s warning that they had only three minutes to hand in their list, which made them conclude, though not all got their choices through. Some were not sure what they exactly needed.
Big Brother later relaxed the mood when he played them messages from home. Maureen’s mother, Margaret Pulle, smiled into the camera and told her daughter that she was doing great and that the whole family was watching. She was overwhelmed with joy and ended up crying just like the others on receiving their messages.
Tanzania’s Richard kissed the screen when his wife came on to send her love. They were happy to hear from home after two weeks of no contact with the outside world. But it made them feel like their eviction was coming closer, the reason Big Brother sought to inspire them that way.
Meanwhile, Botswana’s Justice, the house-whining crybaby, finally crawled out of his shell after a sulky Friday and Saturday, which was caused by the housemates’ disapproval of his habitual complaining.
On Saturday, Big Brother called them in the diary room to sing against poverty. But while the other housemates were outdoing themselves to impress the viewers, Justice just looked on. The mumbling ‘midget’ received hate SMS from viewers throughout the weekend. Some suggested that he should get evicted so he goes back to his mother to baby him.
He must have realised this could cost him a lot, so he turned on the charm for the whole of Sunday. He spent the day flirting with Angola’s Tatiana and chatting up Zambia’s Maxwell and Code (Malawi).
Meanwhile, Meryl is to get a treat in a private fully-decked penthouse as a reward for her beating the housemates in deciphering the puzzle of Big Brother’s prying eye. She will have an own bathroom, a couch and other luxuries.
Big Brother said she could invite friends. I am thinking Kwaku, her resident lover, could be the man for the treat – good way to shed off the nomination fever, huh?
