The doctors shouldn’t have gone on strike

SIR — I am surprised that the country is singing praises to the postgraduate doctors at Mulago for going on strike. We understand they need their <br>money but I thought as doctors they were supposed to put people’s lives <br>above anything else.

And some have even had the cheek to say that they have seen many people die before so it is a non-issue! How can they go and rest while millions of people are dying?

There are other ways the problem of payment could have been solved other than patients dying and the blame placed on the government.
