DESPITE a spirited bowling performance from Ronald Ssemanda and Edward Nakana, the Asiatic Sports sponsored U-19 team failed the test again, losing the second practice match by 48 runs to Senanayanke College in Colombo yesterday.

DESPITE a spirited bowling performance from Ronald Ssemanda and Edward Nakana, the Asiatic Sports sponsored U-19 team failed the test again, losing the second practice match by 48 runs to Senanayanke College in Colombo yesterday.
Ssemanda (4-28) and Nakana (4-24) ripped through the opponents to limit them to 161 all out.
But batsmen Roger Mukasa (15) and Mauneek Solanki (11) were a shadow of themselves ahead of the World Cup starting February 5 with Uganda taking on Pakistan.
“We still hope for the best,†team manager Justine Ligyalingi said.
