URA’s Confederation’s Cup opponents World Hope of Kenya are not scared of their current mediocre performance and have promised to bring down the high-riding Ugandans.

Club director Charles Macharia said yesterday that they are aware URA were unstoppable in their domestic league having beaten 16-time champions SC Villa in their weekend encounter.

“Despite that impressive run, they should realise that football is a game of chance. The African Nations Cup in Egypt was a pointer that we can upset the formbook.

DR Congo lost to Uganda Cranes in a qualifier but they are in the quarter-finals. The same applies to Guinea who lost to Kenya in Nairobi but were in the quarter-finals too, a feat that gives us optimism to tame URA,” Macharia said.

He said the recent spate of poor shows was attributed to financial constraints but should not be construed to mean that URA will have an easy way.

Hope, who host URA February 17-19, were given a 5-1 thrashing by Kenya champions Ulinzi in a premier league clash recently.
