Heathens, Pirates in do or die

Last weekend saw some of the worst rugby played in several years. All the teams were rusty, and it seems off-season training did not help much. One hopes that was a wake up call for some of the strongest rugby teams in the country, and that this weekend’s games have more to offer.

At Kyadondo, no quarter will be asked or given as champions MTN Heathens take on a Pirates side that has shown marked improvement in recent times.

Coming off their 39-0 drubbing of upstarts Buffaloes last week, Heathens look to take it to the Pirates in what should be the game of the day.

Elsewhere, seven-time winners Mango Kobs play Buffaloes at Kyadondo, while LG Rhinos host Hima Impis at KRFC. Impis struggled to a 5-10 defeat to Pirates last week, and should be interested to see what happens against Rhinos.

In Shield games, will Rams be a no-show against Saracens like they were last week against Sailors?

Meanwhile Impis II, also a no-show against Mongers, take on Boks, while Sailors play Mongers at Krfc ground.
