reports that in a joint workshop organised by the Mental Health Care Organisation and UK-based Sheffield Care Trust at Zawadi Hotel on Wednesday, the chairman for Nyarima Trust Ltd, John Bosco Opio, said many youth were suffering from mental sickness because of drug abuse.

“Our youth are involved in drug abuse and alcoholism, leading to the high rate of defilement, rape, burglary and idleness,” he said.

Direct of health services Dr. Rabbin Drabe said some youth used drugs due to the trauma caused by LRA rebels.
