MIDLAND Group of Companies has launched a telecom division, Midcom to distribute Nokia mobile phones.

Akash Kumar, the managing director, said, “The company will be coming up with a fully-equipped and Nokia-authorised service centre to guarantee 100% customer satisfaction with after sales service back-up.”

Kumar said this during a press conference at the company’s premises on Plot 26A, Acacia Avenue in Kololo, Kampala.

He said, “The strength of Midcom is to cater for the wholesale and retail segment with organised and experienced marketing and sales staff. We sell the original Nokia at a reasonable cost. We want to fight piracy and duplicity in mobile phone market.”

Kumar said they intend to form strategic alliances with retailers.

Midcom is one of the prime mobile wholesalers in Dubai and Rwanda.

“We want to make sure buyers are not deprived of quality,” he said.
