GULU district directorate of health services has received 12,000 treated mosquito nets from UNICEF through the Malaria Consortium to be given to pregnant women who visit antenatal care units at the various health centres, reports Chris Ocowun.

The district health visitor, Sr. Tamali Luguma, said yesterday 5,000 nets were meant for children under five years of age.

She said they had distributed the nets to various health centres in the district, where pregnant mothers seek antenatal care, saying the nets would encourage pregnant women to go for antenatal services.
