Table tennis teams from Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda and Rwanda are expected to take part in the three-day Mbale Open Table Tennis championship that starts on July 14, at St. Austin’s Social Centre Hall in Mbale.

Table tennis teams from Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda and Rwanda are expected to take part in the three-day Mbale Open Table Tennis championship that starts on July 14, at St. Austin’s Social Centre Hall in Mbale.
Mbale Tigers Table Tennis Club (MTTTC) director Emma Matysetyse said Swedish player Laupa Lunning, who lifted last year’s men’s singles, is also expected in the country to defend his title.
Hosts MTTTC will also be be battling to retain the men’s team trophy, while Corner House of Kampala are ladies defending champions. Milka Anyonyi from Nairobi will defend the ladies’ singles title.
