KAMPALA - The Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) project has been commended for its satisfactory work in the 18 districts covered by the World Bank in the greater north. A team of World Bank officials, led by Suleiman Namara, said this at the end of an implementation support mission wrap-up meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office board-room last Tuesday.

Teachers train
LIRA - Straight Talks Foundation has trained over 100 headteachers, senior woman teachers, classroom teachers, Parents and Teachers Association members, health service providers in Lango sub-region to teach teenagers sex education.

Budget passed
KITGUM - The district has passed a sh15.7b budget for 2006/2007. This is higher than last year’s estimates, which were at sh12.8-47.789.242b, of which about 10b was realised.
