THE Katikkiro of buganda, Dan Muliika, has assured investors that they will be given land as long as they conform to the kingdom’s interests, reports Florence Nakaayi.
Hosting representatives of a UK-based education charity group, Promoting Equality in African Schools (PEAS), Muliika hailed the group for supporting education in Buganda.
PEAS established St. Janan Luwum SS, kabalagala, for orphans and students from poor families. The school has 800 students.
“We are pleased because you are assisting the Kabaka’s servants. I want to assure you that with land, you don’t have to worry,” Muliika said. The group included 11 teachers from Holland Park SS, UK, led by Charles Hotham.
Emma Lindsell, a PEAS member, said they would set up four secondary schools in Kampala in the next two years.
