CHESTER Williams, the South African coaching director, is confident the national rugby team will earn victory over Kenya in the second leg of the Elgon Cup in Nairobi on Saturday.

The first batch of players and officials leave this afternoon ahead of the tie that will also have the Ugandan women and the young Cranes (U-21) take on their counterparts before the main game.

“It is a good selection and I am confident the boys will bring victory,” Williams acknowledged at a send-off cocktail for the squad in Bugoloobi on Tuesday.

Peter Magona was maintained as captain. Experienced wingers Allan Musoke and Timothy Mudoola, flankers Moses Soita and Mathias Ochwo and locks Adrian Bukenya and Victor Wadia are also on the team.

Christine Kizito replaces Lillian Ikullumet, who is out of the country, as Lady Cranes captain.

Meanwhile, Uganda referees Michael Muhame, Gilbert Kwaya and Dennis Oola will officiate at the CAR U-18 second division tournament set for Burundi on Saturday.
