KAMPALA: Pastors irk
People living with HIV/AIDS have decried the increasing number of pastors who claim that prayers heal HIV/AIDS, hence forcing people off the ARV drugs. “Many of our colleagues have died at the hands of the pastors who tell them to stop taking their medication and stick to prayer and fasting,” Annet Mirembe said during their bi-monthly talk show dubbed Positive Voices-Tukyogeereko at NAPHANU office on Ring Road, Kibuye. She said being desperate, patients end up in the church where pastors keep them off the drugs and encourage them to pray.

KAMPALA: Abstain
The low AIDS/HIV prevalence in the country is due to abstinence and not use of condoms, Kampala Pentecostal Church pastor Mark Kigozi has said.Officiating at the Lubiri Secondary School scripture union gospel album launch recently, Kigozi said he would organise the youth to demonstrate if the Government distributes condom machines in the country.

KAMPALA: Cardinal bitter
Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala has decried what he called a new anthem of poverty, corruption and children sacrifices, which he said is soon replacing the national anthem. Wamala said this at Kisubi Catholic Church on Sunday where he confirmed 13 children. Wamala warned the children against deserting their church.
