Protect the money!

SIR — Adam Makmot’s letter “More facts needed on oil” published on October 12 mentioned some important aspects which the president omitted or ignored in his independence speech. However, apart from those Makmot mentioned such as environment and oil policy, there must also be a mechanism to ensure the money from the oil sales is not stolen by corrupt Government officials so that it can benefit all.
