KAMPALA: Cops recover
A gun used by Cpl. Charles Tamale to kill two policemen, a soldier and a home guard has been recovered. The rusty gun was recovered over the weekend from Biina swamp, a few meters from kinawataka where the murder took place. Tamale, who was Brig. Nakibus Lakara’s guard, is on the run since the heinous incident in May.

KAMPALA: Five shot
A private security guard on Sunday evening shot and injured five people at a fuel station on Entebbe Road. Kampala Extra police chief Grace Turyagumanawe identified the injured as Francis Bukenya, Ronald Lukenge, Muhammad Mugisha, Natasha Rehema and Nagujja. The 7:00pm incident occurred at a Kobil fuel station which Geoffrey Olwor was guarding. Olwor is detained at Katwe police station.

MBARARA: Minister happy
State minister for animal industry Maj. Bright Rwamirama is happy that many Muslims voted for the Movement in the past polls. rwamirama said this at nyamityobora primary school on Saturday at a function to raise money to buy a car for the district khadi. About sh13m was raised. Rwamirama advised Muslims to join the government to develop Uganda.
TORORO: Fire guts
Fire gutted offices belonging to Zenitaka Corporation, a Japanese firm building an extension wing at Tororo Hospital. The plywood structure went up in flames at 8:30pm, destroying property worth millions of shillings. The fire brigade chief, David Wabwire, said a short circuit in a power generator caused the fire.
