THE internal affairs ministry has been asked by the Gulu archbishop to tighten the enforcement of traffic laws.
Bishop John Baptist Odama said the move would reduce the number of road accidents.

He was on Sunday speaking at the burial of Alfred Oyet, father to former soccer star John Ross Latigo, at Kabedo-Opong, Gulu Municipality.

Oyet was on October 10 knocked dead by a car at Bweyalle trading centre in Masindi district.

Odama described Oyet as a strong Christian, who loved God and allowed his daughter, Hellen Ayaa, to serve God as a Sister.

The Catholic bishop-elect, Fr. Sebino Odoki and the mayor, Christopher Acire, attended.
