Kamoga’s attitude is disappointing!

SIR — I was disappointed when I read that when Johnson asked Davis Kamoga about leaving a legacy, Kamoga’s answer was a definite No!

SIR — I was disappointed when I read that when Johnson asked Davis Kamoga about leaving a legacy, Kamoga’s answer was a definite No!

Then he began stories of ‘facilities’ and the sort of stories that Ugandan athletes will always present.

Kamoga should note that he was the most important personality that Johnson had in mind when he thought of visiting Uganda. This alone ought to tell Kamoga how he should have kept this legacy.

So far there is nothing that Kamoga has done under the sun that sold him as the 400-metre champion that he once dominated on the continent.

And he may never do it again! When would Kamoga have invested in leaving a legacy? It should have been when he was still an active athlete when all companies could still make a deal out of him in promotions.

He cannot almost sell now as he did not establish himself in his specialty. Corporates only need you in your prime!
