Why not catch Kony in Garamba?

SIR — As a Ugandan, I was very surprised and disappointed to learn that Uganda had been named among countries fanning the war in Somalia.

Our government seems to be having a ‘world army’. It sends troops to Iraq to participate in wars they did not start!
If the UPDF has the capacity of sending troops so far afield, why not capture Joseph Kony alive in the Garamba forests?

It shocks me to hear the army spokesman Maj. Felix Kulayigye saying that they have not yet deployed in Somalia because they need parliament’s approval.

When the UPDF invaded the DRC in 1998, was the deployment approved by parliament or was Parliament consulted over the matter?

Good liars should keep their record of lies for the sake of consistence.
