SIR — I read with interest your story “Uganda not invited to Kabila swear-inâ€. I had actually noticed it while watching the ceremony on SABC Africa.
Why should we be surprised Uganda was not represented, let alone invited? The simple message is the Congolese do not have anything good to remember about Uganda’s presence in their country.
We may be their friends but we left a bad taste in their mouths typical of what has become our speciality in the region, meddling in other people’s affairs while failing to put our own house in order.
