Ambassadors of Christ Adventist choir has released a special album for Ugandans
Ambassadors of Christ Adventist choir has released a special album for Ugandans. The popular choral group based in Kigali launched the CD at Makerere Adventist Centre recently. The CD titled Bbaluwa, has 13 tracks sang in Luganda, Kinyarwanda, English and Swahili.
The beautiful fusion of contemporary gospel and Afro-west rhythms give the respective songs and voices of the mass choir an infectious alchemy.
Bbaluwa carries a metaphorical message. It tells a story of a man, who ignored a warning letter from a friend, which made it easy for his enemies to kill him. The song encourages Christians to read the Bible in order to attain salvation.
The song Kuteesa kwa babi highlights the social evils of contemporary society, while Ka tuleete bwino gives the doctrines of the Adventist Church a substantial Biblical defence. The track, Yubu is based on the biblical story of Job.
It advocates for the Christian ideals of perseverance, faith and absolute trust in God. Other songs are Don’t say Tomorrow, Peka mukunde (let me love Jesus), Impanda (the trumpet), Just Yonder, Tunamushukuru (kiswahili, we are grateful) and Dore umukwe. “Although our ministry goes to many countries, our biggest audience is in Uganda which is why we thought it appropriate to record a special album as a sign of gratitude,†choir promoter Reuben Muvunyi told weekend Vision.
