Political parties have vowed to take action against the Government if it fails to finance their activities.
Without specifying the action to be taken, members demanded that parliament immediately enacts a law regulating the financing of political parties and that actual funding should start by February this year.
Under their umbrella body, the inter-political parties dialogue forum, the members on Wednesday accused the Government of favouring the NRM-O over others.
The secretary, Patrick Aroma, said funding political parties was a Government duty.
“We are going to press the Government to fund all our activities. This is not a privilege but our right to access funds from the consolidated fund. Its not the NRM-O alone that should be funded,†he said.
