A man stunned his fiancee when he burst into tears after she told him she was pregnant. Musa, a resident of Kawanda, cried allegedly because he fears the responsibilities of being a father. Shamim, the fiancee, had told Musa she was two months pregnant. Shamim got the shock of her life when Musa urged her to abort. “Ffe ewaffe tetujamu mbuto (in our culture we do not abort),” she said. Shamim said she at first thought Musa was crying and shedding tears of joy.
She instead got shocked when she realised that Musa was furious over the pregnancy. Musa said he was not happy because he would not afford to support the family.
