THERE was no State House interference in the privatisation of the Dairy Corporation to a Thailand firm, the President’s political affairs aide has said.

Moses Byaruhanga said the president used his constitutional right to direct a minister to pass the corporation to the Thai firm for a nominal fee of US$1 (sh1,750).

He was on Tuesday addressing the weekly Uganda Journalist association press discourse in Kampala.

“The Privatisation of the corporation was to reduce wastage of money. We are not aiming at only funds,” Byaruhanga said.
