FORMER British overseas development minister Baroness Linda Chalker will arrive in the country next week to discuss Uganda’s place in a globalising world.

FORMER British overseas development minister Baroness Linda Chalker will arrive in the country next week to discuss Uganda’s place in a globalising world.
Chalker will be the guest speaker during the 3rd annual leadership lecture series scheduled for Wednesday at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Attendance will be by invite only. The guests are mainly from the business community.
Uganda Telecom marketing manager Hans Paulsen yesterday said Chalker had been an adviser on Africa and development to a number of business concerns in Europe and Southern Africa and to the World Bank.
Paulsen was addressing the press at Sheraton Kampala Hotel yesterday.
He said funds would be raised during the event and the proceeds would be donated to Lira Babies Home.
The lecture is jointly organised by the Uganda Society.
