UGANDA Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) has finally joined the computer age courtesy of a Kampala businessman, Godfrey Kiwanuka,
UGANDA Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) has finally joined the computer age courtesy of a Kampala businessman, Godfrey Kiwanuka, reports Samson Opus.
Kiwanuka, the Tosumi Autospares managing director bailed out the cash-strapped federation with a computer unit.
The equipment worth sh1.5m was delivered at Lugogo on Monday.
Lack of computer scoring system has been a major setback for Ugandan boxers. The local federation has been relying on the out-dated manual scoring system putting the Ugandan boxers at a disadvantage in international events.
“I am happy to say we have entered in the computer age,â€said an elated secretary Sande Musoke.
