THREE American clerics have been ordained by the Luweero Diocese after they broke away from the US Episcopal Church over the 2003 appointment of an openly gay bishop for New Hampshire Diocese.

They were consecrated by Bishop Kisekka on Sunday at St. Mark Cathedral in Luweero.
They are the Rev. Mary Kathleen Adams and deacons Patrick Gordon Wildman and Dawn Elizabeth Vukich.

They will be preaching in their American churches as missionaries deployed by Luweero Diocese.

Several churches under the American Episcopal church were angered by the November 2003 consecration of the openly gay Bishop Gene Robinson, leading to some of them breaking away.

Reverends Ron McCrary and Praveen Bunyan of St. James Church, California, attended.
