Men dominate women show

It should have been one of those shows where women artistes get together to sing and prove they can have their own way.

That they did, though they mainly sang about loving men. KADS band fans had their usual thrill.

The band performs at Sabrina’s Pub every Friday and even with a different show, they were still given space. But the revelers did not get wild until Bebe Cool hit the stage with a ‘cool’ yet energetic performance.

Known for stepping on tables, he showed more respect by standing on a chair this time round. His Taliba Yesu sent numerous waists wriggling. The fire could not even be put out by Straka’s too much hype or Amarula Family’s tiring jokes. Jose Chameleone and Bobi Wine apologised to their fans for the war between them.

As if to prove they are the best of friends, they performed Bei Kali together and hugging each other all the time. It was Julianna Kanyomozi, who made us feel the warmth of a woman’s voice in her performance of Taata w’abaana with Bobi Wine. By the time the concert ended, no one remembered that it was meant to be a female artistes’ show.
