THE Government is to build regional hospitals for traditional healers and herbalists to assist them process drugs, the health state minister has said.
Charles Kakamwa reports that Capt. Mike Mukula, who is also the patron of Uganda national integrated forum for traditional healers and practitioners, said the move was to improve services offered by the healers.
“We are equipping the one we set up in Wandegeya with modern machines. We shall then establish others in the various regions to ease your work,” he said.
Mukula was addressing traditional healers and herbalists at Jinja show grounds on Friday. He issued badges to 407 herbalists.
He urged residents to respect cultural values.
