PARLIAMENT lost sh36m to hotels for rooms that were booked but never used.
The Auditor General’s report for the financial year 2002/03 asked the clerk to Parliament to explain the circumstances that led to the loss.
Appearing yesterday before the parliamentary committee on public accounts, Aeneas Tandekwire said the loss occurred when Uganda hosted the Commonwealth parliaments association meeting in August 2002.
