The level of unemployment is so high that we are ready to accept jobs which may put our lives at risk.

American soldiers, despite their sophisticated training and equipment, have been dying like flies in Iraq.

Will Ugandans be safer there? But the government has also not been sincere on the matter. State minister for internal affairs Kezimbira Miyingo denies that any recruitment has taken place, arguing that reports in the press were stage- managed. This was in Parliament where many MPs expressed their concern at the irregular way this matter was being handled.

Does this government care about its citizens? If it does, why does it simply look on as deals involving lives of Ugandans are being clinched by money hungry lawyers and security firm executives? Surely, shouldn’t the government taken more interest? Mr. Miyingo should resign!
