KEITH Legesi and U-19 batsman and Wanderers skipper Hamza Saleh have been recalled to the national cricket team ahead of the 2007 World Cup qualifiers set for July 1-13 in Dublin, Ireland.

Team manager Richard Mwami revealed that the two would join the 16 players already in camp and equally compete for slots on the final 14-man squad that travel to Ireland for the international event.
The final squad will be named on May 30.

“We thought it wise to have Keith and Hamza on the squad and give them the opportunity to compete with the rest,” Mwami said.

Legesi had been dropped due to a busy schedule at his workplace but will now be available.

The 12-nation event in Ireland will see the five top teams qualify for the 2007 World Cup in West Indies.
