Awori, please try to attend church often!

SIR — I enjoyed reading Elizabeth Namazzi’s interview with Samya Buggwe MP Aggrey Awori.

SIR — I enjoyed reading Elizabeth Namazzi’s interview with Samya Buggwe MP Aggrey Awori.

The article entitled “Assertive Aggrey” published in the Sunday Magazine of may 15. it is true both white and black pastors sometimes do not measure up to the expectations of the gospel, like the Archdeacon who would not invite Awori and his father to lunch because they were black!

But this incident should not have put off Awori about the church and his faith. The church is bigger than pastors because she belongs to Jesus Christ her head.

Awori recommends that the late Archbishop Janani Luwum should be made a saint.

if Awori attended church service regularly, he would have known that the late Archbishop Janani Luwum was made a saint after his martyrdom on February 16, 1977. He is annually remembered on February 16.

I want to encourage Awori to attend church services regularly.
If you are an MP and you regularly miss attending parliament you will be dismissed.

The same is true of a Christian who misses church service.
