Third term addiction
It is obvious that the third term debacle will not end with the presidential seat alone. Now northern region MP for people with disability, Margaret Babadiri is also seeking a third term.
“I have been their MP for the last two five-year terms, I definitely want a third term. I will request them to vote me back to represent them,” Babadiri said recently at a blind persons’ function in Kampala. Babadiri is a Movement diehard who wants Museveni to run for another term.

Diplomatic tact
Charles Hamilton, acting British High Commissioner to Uganda is studying the political situation in Uganda before saying anything about our political transition.
When pressed for a comment about the situation on Monday, he made a diplomatic withdrawal, “I am not in a position to make any political statement at the moment, maybe I will comment in future, I am so sorry”. He was handing over a donation of training materials to Blind But Able in Kyebando-Kisalosalo at his first official function in the country. It seems he is a diplomat who knows his work.

Dagada apologises
A council meeting between Kayunga LC5 chairman, Stephen Dagada and his councillors almost turned rowdy when the chairman uttered words the councillors thought were meant to undermine their reasoning capacity. “The thinking capacity of my district executive committee and I is high and we see things differently,” Dagada said, prompting prolonged grumbling and growling by the councillors who asked the chairman to apologise and he obliged.

Naava fumes
Don't ever pick up a phone to receive a call in a meeting while the presidential legal adviser Naava Nabagesera is in attendance because the habit annoys her. during a workshop on National Migration for Integration organised by the International Labour Organisation at Hotel Africana, Naava could not contain her anger that the chairperson spent a good time on her phone keeping them waiting.
“This woman is totally uncultured to receive a call yet she is chairing the session, she is disrupting the meeting with her numerous calls. We are tired of waiting for her to finish her conversations,” she fumed.
