Muhwezi’s analysis
Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi while debating on Presidential term limits last week volunteered tips of how leaders are searched for. “Searching for leaders is like drinking local brew in a pot, when it is getting exhausted at the residue, you shift the straw until you find where there is juice and you don’t move it from there. You don’t shift until it is exhausted.” Listen, Ugandans, the juice is still in Museveni so don’t shift your straws, at least according to Muhwezi.

Leading by example
State minister for Transport Andruwale Awuzu is leading by example. The minister has kept his 17-year old Pajero roadworthy all that time. He also visited Katwe artisans to fix seat belts ‘right from the front to the back’. Awuzu, apparently angry with drivers for failing to adhere to traffic laws, was on Friday inspecting impounded taxis and buses that had faulty seat belts and speed governors. He lamented that the judiciary was very lenient with the culprits by sentencing them to a paltry fine of only sh600,000 or only a maximum of two years in prison.

Ogong has a dream
State minister for child affairs Felix Okot Ogong has big dreams. He told participants on Thursday during the African Child celebrations at Hotel Equatoria that he is going to front for the introduction of free secondary education for girls and that it will be granted in the near future. “I always have my way when I want something done.We shall soon have free secondary education for girls because I am going to front for it to my cabinet colleagues and you know me when I want something it is granted with no excuses,” he said. We are eagerly waiting for the dream to come true.

Museveni advises
If you followed the biblical advice on forgiveness, how many times would you be required to forgive? President Museveni has an answer. with his penchant for figures, he puts it in figures, “The issue of forgiving 70 X 70 X seven years means forgiving 4,900 times which is about 13 years. He quipped, “Someone can anger you for 13 years alright, what do you do then after he or she angers you again after that? The time Jesus told us to forgive has run out so what do we do?” He recently told church leaders that they had to merge religion and culture to effectively preach to God’s followers.
