NATIONAL Council of Sports (NCS) has boosted Uganda Darts Association with $500 (sh0.8m) towards affiliation to the world body. The amount was handed over by NCS secretary Jasper Aligawesa while presiding over the Veterans Open at Makerere's Club Five last weekend. This leaves UDA with a deficit of $900 all in arrears to the World Darts Federation.

VOLLEYBALL: Kibuli joins
KIBULI Demonstration and St Peter's Nsambya have joined over ten teams which are set to compete at the inaugural primary schools championships at Dr. Archbishop Kiwanuka Memorial, Nakirebe tomorrow. The UVF event is sponsored by Brother John Kizito.

SWIMMING: Uganda set
UGANDA gets into the water at the 11th World Swimming Championships in Montréal, Canada on Sunday. The team's skipper Gilbert Kaburu, who is the most experienced swimmer on the team, will be the first one into the water in the 50m butterfly. Natasha Ratter will be doing the 100m backstroke on Monday.
