UGANDA Chess Federation (UCF) officials have described former chairman Cyril Rwabushenyi as a great motivator.

UGANDA Chess Federation (UCF) officials have described former chairman Cyril Rwabushenyi as a great motivator.
Rwabushenyi died in a Nairobi hospital on Tuesday after a long illness.
He worked with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) as director of airports and aviation security.
Burial plans in Rugando village, Rwampara county are underway.
Rwabushenyi, who served as chairman from 1996 to 1998, is remembered for encouraging youngsters to take up the game.
“He was keen on schools development programmes,†national coach Joe Kaamu said.
During his reign, many youngsters were identified through the Fr Grimes schools championship.
The group includes current national champion Stephen Kawuma, Grace Nsubuga, Steven Opio and Shaddrack Kantinti.
