MUKONO district secretary for works Sengendo Kaweesa has asked the Government to upgrade the Buvuma ferry, which recently broke down. He said the ferry’s engines were incapacitated.

THE Uganda communications commission recently pledged sh27m to St. Matthias Kalemba SS in Kayunga to install an Internet cafe. The headmaster, John Mpoza, said UCC had signed a deal for the money.

THE Police in Mukono have arrested a UPDF soldier on suspicion of shooting and wounding a Police constable. Zephania Mudede injured Francis Mugoya on July 2, after he suspected him of being a thief.
