THREE Norwegian MPs have visited Mbarara to study the sexual and reproductive health issues among youth in the district, reports Raymond Baguma.

The head of the delegation, Britt Hildeng, said they wanted to increase their focus on Africa.

“We are in Mbarara to see what is needed. The study tour has been informative. We have seen the way NGOs are interconnected with the community and the Government,” Hildeng said.

The team visited the Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU) and the AIDS Information Centre.

They also interacted with FPAU peer educators and volunteers to find out how they empowered youth to fight HIV/AIDS and understand sexual health issues.

The MPs were received by FPAU’s Sylvia Namulema.
