A highway robber was on Wednesday shot dead in Masaka, in a fierce gunfire exchange with the Police.
Peter Ssemujju was cornered by the highway police patrol team as he staged an illegal roadblock at Mbirizi.
Masaka Police chief junior Okore said Ssemujju’s four colleagues escaped.

OVER 70 people from Kibale district, including children, have camped at Parliament since Tuesday, demanding compensation from the Government for their property worth sh2.5b which was damaged when they were evicted from Mpokya game reserve in 1992.
