SIR — I am writing to express my deep gratitude to your columnist, Mr. Abu Mayanja, for his direct, thought-provoking and brilliant ideas that I read online in the US.

I only wish that more global leaders would be as open and honest as Mayanja about the affairs of their countries. He is an inspiring role model.
